Hopes the McGregor Music Festival would go ahead this year have been dashed because of the pandemic.

Organizers had hoped to save the 31st edition by postponing it to September, but now they say they will focus on bringing it back next June.

They had hoped social distancing measures would be lifted in time to hold the event.

It was planned for 11 a.m. at Co-An Park on Concession Road 11 in McGregor.

Now, it will be held on June 13, 2021.

This year’s festival was going to support the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation’s Patient Assistance Fund. It will be next year.

“The Music Festival has been a great supporter of the WCCF. We can’t thank them enough for all they do, and we look forward to 2021,” said WCCF Executive Director, Houida Kassem.
