McGregor Music Festival rescheduled for September

While other events have had to cancel because of COVID-19, organizers of this year's McGregor Music Festival have decided to reschedule it.

It is now planned for September 20.

"We're so excited to announce that the music festival will take place this year," said event chair, Sue LeClair. "It was a tough decision to have to postpone it, but we needed everyone to be safe."

LeClair said the festival would feature a "jam-packed" lineup of musicians, raffle prizes, food and the infamous pig auction.

The gates open at 11 a.m. at Co-An Park on Concession Road 11 in McGregor.

The event this year will support the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation's Patient Assistance Fund.

It helps alleviate the financial burden many cancer patients face when other funds are no longer available.

The event celebrates 31 years in 2020.
