Bluesfest feels Roxodus ticket holders pain, offers free entry

The organizers of Bluesfest in Windsor "feel the pain" of Roxodus concert goers and want to turn their frowns upside down.

The rockfest scheduled to go July 11 to July 13 near Barrie was suddenly cancelled because of "wet conditions".

Bluesfest President Rob Petroni said they would step up by offering Roxodus ticket holders free entry to Bluesfest Friday and Saturday nights.

The headliner Friday night is eight-time Grammy Award winner, Buddy Guy, while Morris Day and the Time plays Saturday night during Bluesfest's Celebration of Prince event.

"Providing they present a valid ticket -- printed or digital," said Petroni. "We'd love to have them experience our hospitality, the riverfront venue, and of course, our world-class production and featured artists."

Proceeds from revenue generated through concession sales over the four-day event will be donated to local charity and not-for-profit agencies in Windsor.
