Sarnia Kinsmen RibFest returning to Centennial Park

The Sarnia Kinsmen Club is thrilled to be bringing back its traditional RibFest to Centennial Park on Fathers' Day weekend.

The 23rd annual event will feature four professional rib teams, 10 bands, an artisan area, additional food vendors and a beer and wine tent.

This year's event is supported by Carpenter's Local 1256 and the Sarnia Construction Association.

Event Chair Jack Struck said everyone he's spoken to is excited for RibFest's return, noting proceeds support many community initiatives.

"We support over 30 charities and initiatives, such as the kids playgrounds, Baxter park upgrades, the Inn of the Good Shepherd, Salvation Army, Kidney Foundation, Boy Scouts, Air Cadets, Heart and Stroke, Cystic Fibrosis, Cancer Society just to name a few," said Struck. "We also organize and raise money for the Santa Claus and Canada Day Parades. We are all volunteers giving back to our community and with the continued support from our sponsors and the thousands of visitors that attended each year; we will continue to give back."
