Pictures Of Murder Suspects Released

The Windsor Police Service is out with pictures of three suspects wanted as part of a homicide investigation in the city's west end.

Dustin Schuh, 26, Daniel Shaw, 38, and Melissa Luyten, 32, are wanted on charges of kidnapping, forcible confinement and murder. An additional suspect is already in custody — a 67-year-old man who initially called police and came forward as a witness.

It's the first homicide of the year in Windsor. The last homicide case for police in the city came on December 23, 2015 after a shooting in the 100-block of Oak St.

Staff Sargent Todd Cox, with the Major Crimes Branch in Windsor, says the victim in the case was lured to the Tim Horton's coffee shop in the 2800-block of Howard Ave. on October 18 — the day before he was found severely beaten.

"We believe strongly that there may have been witnesses there and we're asking those individuals that may have witnessed this altercation in the rear parking lot to come forward," says Cox.

Police believe the victim was forced into a red vehicle at the coffee shop.

The suspects are known to police and believed to be in the Kingston area. Police are asking the public to avoid approaching the suspects.

It was about 6am on October 19 when police found the 26-year-old victim beaten, bound and suffering from stab wounds in an apartment building at 605 Mill St. in Windsor. He died of his injuries yesterday afternoon.

Police have spoke with the victim's family and will not be releasing his identity.

Anyone with information related to the case are asked to call the Windsor Police Service Major Crime Branch at 519-255-6700 x4830 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) and online at catchcrooks.com or through Facebook.
