Suspects Identified In Violent Assault

Windsor police have made an arrest and issued three warrants in connection to a violent assault last week.

On Wednesday, October 19, a 26-year-old male victim was found in an apartment on Mill St. severely beaten with his hand bound and suffering from multiple stab wounds.

A 67-year-old man, who originally called the police and came forward as a witness, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Officers say the altercation began at a Tim Horton's on Howard Ave. the day before. Detectives believe the victim was lured to the rear of the parking lot and forced into the vehicle and transported to the apartment on Mill St.

Police have issued a warrant for three additional suspects. Police are looking for 26-year-old Dustin Schuh, 38-year-old Daniel Shaw and 32-year-old Melissa Luyten who are all wanted for kidnapping, forcible confinement and aggravated assault.

Investigators believe the victim was targeted in the offence and it was not a random act. The victim was also involved in a stabbing incident on September 29 where he was found in the area of Glengarry Ave. and Wyandotte St. E with multiple stab wounds. He was not cooperative with police during that investigation.
