Knights Stop Owen Sound 4-1

Max Jones scored twice as the London Knights beat the Attack in Owen Sound 4-1 Saturday night.

The Knights snap a two-game slide while Owen Sound played its first home game since the sudden death of the team's owner, Frank Coulter.

There was no scoring in the first period at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, though each team exchanged an unsuccessful power play in the first 20 minutes. It was the exact same story in the second period as well, with no goals and a power-play chance each.

Owen Sound scored first at 2:22 in the third period on an Aidan Dudas goal. After that it was all London. Jones scored his first goal at 8:40 to tie the game and Robert Thomas found the goal almost two minutes later to put the Knights ahead for good. Jones and Sam Miletic scored before the end of regulation.

Joseph Raaymakers faced 25 Owen Sound shots, stopping 24 of them. Zack Bowman had 23 saves for the Attack.

The Knights welcome the Flint Firebirds to Budweiser Gardens Friday night. The Attack host Sudbury in a Remembrance Day clash next Saturday.
