Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – January 11, 2017

Brett Primeau led the LaSalle Vipers to a 6-2 victory over the Strathroy Rockets on Wednesday.

Primeau scored a hat trick for LaSalle, while Tyler Russell, Nathan Savage and Zack Hoffman each scored once.

The Vipers are in Sarnia on Thursday to take on the Legionnaires at 7:10pm.


Also in the GOJHL, the London Nationals blanked the St. Marys Lincolns 5-0.

Harlen VanWynsberghe and Brandon Glover both scored twice for the Nationals.  Jaimen Allison also scored for London.

The Nationals will travel to Leamington on Thursday to play the Flyers at 7:10pm.


In Junior C hockey action, the Wheatley Sharks edged the Petrolia Flyers 4-3.

Ryan Zsebok, Alixe Saliba, Eric Prudence, and Mitchell Prudence all scored once for Wheatley.

The Sharks will face off against the Admirals in Amherstburg on Sunday at 7pm.


And, the Blenheim Blades scored their fifth straight win with a 5-2 victory over the Wallaceburg Lakers.

Austin Bentley led Blenheim with two goals, while Drew Vandehogan, Bryce Broad, and Kier Cumming all scored once.

Trevor Waller and Josh Farrugia scored the two goals for Wallaceburg.

The Blades are back on home ice on Sunday to battle the Lakeshore Canadiens at 7pm. And then on January 18, the Lakers are at home against the Essex 73’s.
