Charges Laid In Mark McCullagh Murder

More than two years after Mark McCullagh was murdered in front of his Old East London home, three men have been charged in relation to his death.

Kenyon Ohamu, 20, and Steven Atkinson, 37, both from Windsor and Ali Fageer, 23, of Toronto are each charged with manslaughter and two counts of armed robbery. Fageer is additionally charged with two counts of pointing a firearm, using a firearm in the commission of an indictable offence, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

McCullagh was fatally shot outside of his home at 504 English St. on March 9, 2015. Police said the 36-year-old man was taking out the garbage when he was confronted and robbed by three men. The men took off after McCullagh was shot.

Ohamu was arrested in Windsor on Tuesday with the help of local police, London police said in a news released issued Friday. He is being held in police custody pending his next court appearance.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Atkinson and Fageer. Police have indicated Fageer is known to travel between Windsor and the Greater Toronto area. Anyone with information about where the two men may be is asked to call police.

Officers have found and examined a full size, red pickup truck they previously said was associated with the murder.

The charges come two months after London police announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the unsolved murder.
