Express withstand the Hurricanes to win 120-113

The Windsor Express beat the Halifax Hurricanes 120-113 at the WFCU Centre on Wednesday.

Halifax took a narrow 24-23 lead by the end of the first quarter but Windsor jumped ahead to a 59-47 advantage as the game entered halftime. The Express remained in the lead in the third and ended the frame ahead of Halifax 91-77. While the Hurricanes remained hot on the heels of Windsor, the Express held onto to win with a seven-point lead.

Quinnel Brown led Windsor with 22 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Kirk Williams Jr. and Kemy Osse put up 15 points each.

The Express are on the road on Saturday to take on the Moncton Magic at 7 p.m.
