Express derailed by Five 116-114

The Sudbury Five topped the Windsor Express 116-114 in NBL Canada action on Monday.

Sudbury had a two-point advantage on the Express by the end of the first quarter. The Five continued their lead ahead of the Express 53-46 going into halftime. Windsor trailed behind throughout most of third before jumping ahead four points 82-78 for the final quarter.

The Express battled it out with the Five during the fourth frame and tied things up with five minutes left in the game. The Express were on their way to a victory but Sudbury scrambled at the last minute for the win.

Quinnel Brown led Windsor with 23 points and three assists. Chris Jones added 19 points, Kemy Osse put up another 19 points and had 11 rebounds.

Windsor will be at home again on Friday to play the London Lightning at 7 p.m.
