Windsor Spitfires prep to meet former GM

The Windsor Spitfires have a busy weekend ahead with three games over the next four days.

On Thursday night, the Spitfires face the Ottawa 67's one of the top-rated teams in the CHL.

"It's a team that we want to beat, we feel good about our game, especially at home we gotta take care of business and we're excited to play it," said Head Coach Trevor Letowski.

On Saturday, the Spits will face the Barrie Colts and their former General Manager Warren Rychel who is now the head coach of the team.

"To see him on the other bench it's certainly going to be different but we've spoken quite a bit ever since he got the job, it's going to be an interesting night. Not just for me or the players but for everyone in the building to see him standing over there," said Letowski.

He said they are just focused on their own game.

"He knows our personnel pretty well and some of the tendencies probably of the players but this early in the OHL season I think it would be a mistake for him to be going over that stuff with his team. I'm sure he's worried about their team and their structure, their five on five play just like we are," said Letowski.

The team rounds out the weekend travelling to Mississauga to take on the Steelheads Sunday afternoon.
