Spitfires shot down by Sting 5-1

The Windsor Spitfires have lost their second straight game to the Sarnia Sting in two days following a 5-1 defeat on Friday.

Sarnia kicked off the game with a goal early in the first period and then added three more back-to-back goals in the second to take a 4-1 lead.

Curtis Douglas scored 7:19 into the third period to put Windsor on the board, but the Sting added one final unanswered goal in the final 20 seconds to cap off their win.

Despite the loss, the Spitfires outshot the Sting 32-30.

The Spitfires will look to bounce back when they return home on Thursday to take on the Erie Otters. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
