Spitfires defeat Generals 4-1

Luke Boka scored twice as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Generals 4-1 in Oshawa Sunday night.

The Spitfires now have sole possession on third place in the OHL West Division with 30 points.

Oshawa scored first with Jack Studnicka's 12th goal of the season, scored on the power play at roughly eight minutes into the first period. The Spitfires then took the lead with back-to-back goals before the intermission. Boka tied the game with a short-handed goal, then Kyle McDonald's fourth goal of the year put Windsor ahead 2-1.

The Spits' lead was extended to 3-1 in the second period when Daniel D'Amico scored an insurance goal. Boka scored his second goal in the third.

Michael DiPietro stopped all but one of the 25 shots he faced in the Windsor net. Cole Ceci had 37 saves for Oshawa.

The Spitfires begin a home-and-away series with the Sarnia Sting Thursday, with the first game at the WFCU Centre.
