The Essex 73's hammered the Wheatley Sharks 8-1 in Junior C hockey action on Tuesday.
Michael Vieira led Essex with four goals, while Matthew MacLeod, Jeremy Oriet, William Stadder and Quinn Fazekas all scored once.
Michael Vieira scored the sole goal for Wheatley.
The 73's will take on the Lakers next in Wallaceburg on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Also on Wednesday, the Sharks are back at home to face off against the Petrolia Flyers at 7:30 p.m.
