The Essex 73's shutout the Petrolia Flyers 2-0 in Junior C hockey on Tuesday.
Matthew MacLeod and Owen Meyerink scored the two goals for Essex.
The 73's will head to Dresden on Friday to take on the Kings at 7:30 p.m.
