Spits' Brown Makes USA's Juniors Roster

A Windsor Spitfires forward is being rewarded for his strong play.

Fourth-year forward Logan Brown has been named to the Team USA roster for the IIHF World Junior Championships, set to begin Tuesday in Buffalo.

Brown, 19, was an integral part of the Spitfires team that won the Memorial Cup this past spring. The Chesterfield, Missouri native began this season on the roster of the NHL Ottawa Senators, scoring his first NHL assist before being sent back to Windsor.

Since returning to the Spits roster, Brown has scored 13 goals for 24 points. Four of those goals have been on the power play. Brown also has ten penalty minutes and a plus-minus rating of -6.

Brown's coach with the Spitfires, Trevor Letowski, is behind the bench for Team Canada as an assistant.

Team USA begins the juniors Tuesday against Denmark.
