Express Cool Off Titans in Overtime 117-115

Shaquille Keith's buzzer-beating three-pointer capped a close one for the Windsor Express.

The Express and Kitchener-Waterloo Titans fought back and forth and forced overtime Sunday afternoon at the WFCU Centre, before Keith's dramatic winner gave the Express a 117-115 victory.

Windsor improves to 5-4 on the season, third place in the NBLC Central Division.

Four out of Windsor's five starters scored in double-digits. Keith led all scorers with 25 points, followed close behind by Logan Stutz with 23. Anthony Ottley Jr. added 19 points off the Express bench and tied with Stutz and Keith for the defensive lead with eight rebounds apiece.

The first half of this contest was pretty tight. The Express had a slight three-point lead after the first quarter but the Titans made up for that deficit to knot the score 52-52 at the half. Windsor pulled away in the third quarter to lead by eight, but Kitchener-Waterloo made up those points as well in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

All of the Titans' starters finished with double-digit points. Ahmad Starks led with 22 points. Russell Byrd followed with 21 and Kevin Rogers 20. Rogers and Derek Hall led the team on the boards with nine rebounds each.

The Express welcome the Niagara River Lions to the WFCU Centre Thursday night.
