Express Drowned by Hurricanes 120-102

Maurice Jones scored 26 points, but the Windsor Express lost to the Hurricanes 120-102 in Halifax Thursday night.

The Express fall to 2-3 on the season with the loss, their second in a row after dropping a squeaker Wednesday at Cape Breton.

Halifax got off to a fast start in the first quarter but Windsor made up much of it and trailed 56-48 at the half. The Hurricanes then outscored the Express by a two-to-one margin in the third and didn't look back.

Jones also led the Express in assists with eight. Chad Frazier scored 21 points off the bench for Windsor while Logan Stutz collected a double-double with 20 points and a team-leading 11 rebounds.

Billy White led the Hurricanes with 30 points and nine boards. Antoine Mason sank 20 points while C.J. Washington put 12 through.

Windsor heads to Budweiser Gardens on Saturday night to take on the London Lightning.
