Spits And Knights Fighting To See Another Round

The Windsor Spitfires have one last chance to dethrone the reigning Memorial Cup Champion London Knights.

Game 7 between the two clubs goes Tuesday night in the Forest City.

After taking a 3-1 series lead last Thursday, Windsor fell in games five and six of the OHL Western Conference quarterfinal, 2-1 and then 5-3 at home.

In six games at Budweiser Gardens this season, the Knights have beat the Spits five times. Windsor's lone win came in game one of the playoffs -- a 4-3 overtime victory.

Gabriel Vilardi and Co-Captain Jeremiah Addison have lead Windsor throughout the first six games of this series, with 11 points between them.

Knights forwards Janne Kuokkanen and Robert Thomas have taken it to the Spitfires, putting up 14 points through six games.

Despite allowing four goals in game six, Michael DiPietro has played well in Windsor's net. He's sporting a goals against average of 2.39 and a save percentage of .992% heading into Game 7.

London's Tyler Parsons, meanwhile, has a goals against average of 2.52 and save percentage of .913%.

The last time the Spitfires played in a Game 7 was at home against Erie back in 2011. They won that game 5-4.

The last time Windsor played London in a game seven was back in the 2003 Western Conference quarterfinal, where the Knights won 7-4.
