Spitfires Break Spirit 4-1

The Windsor Spitfires downed the Saginaw Spirit 4-1 at the WFCU Centre on Thursday.

The Spirit drew first blood with a goal less than two minutes into the game, but Adam Laishram tied things up for Windsor with a goal 12:15 into the first period.  Aaron Luchuk gave the Spitfires a 2-1 lead in the second with the only goal of the period.

Graham Knott and Gabriel Vilardi scored another two unanswered goals in the final frame to cap off the win of the Spits.

Windsor also outshot Saginaw 27-17.

The Spitfires will head to London on Friday to take on the Knights at 7:30pm.
