Blue Jays Falter 2-1 in Game 2 of ALCS

The Toronto Blue Jays will head back to Toronto in a two-game hole in the American League Championship Series.

Josh Donaldson would drive in a two-out run in the third inning, but that would be all the Jays could push across the plate in a 2-1 loss to the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.  With that, the Indians take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

The Jays could only muster up three games in the contest.

Francisco Lindor continued his hot streak for the Indians, going two-for-four with an RBI.  His two-run home run would be all the Tribe would need to take Game 1 of the series.

Carlos Santana opened the scoring for Cleveland in the second inning with a solo shot, his first career postseason home run.  Lindor's RBI in the third put Cleveland ahead for good.  Despite the win, the Indians were only able to generate four hits of their own.

J.A. Happ started the game on the mound for Toronto, allowing both Cleveland hits over five innings, striking out four.  Josh Tomlin would get the win for the Indians.

The scene shifts to the Rogers Centre Monday night for Game 3 of the series.  Marcus Stroman gets the call for the Blue Jays while Trevor Bauer will toe the slab for Cleveland.
