Junior Hockey Wrap Up - October 2, 2016

The Amherstburg Integrity Admirals overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat the Dresden Kings 4-3 Sunday at the Libro Centre.

Dresden's first two goals came off the one-man advantage, with the first in the first period off the stick of Kadin Ritchie.  Will Tetzlaff got his power-play goal for the Kings in the second period.  One minute and 24 seconds later the Admirals got on the board with a James Brooks goal.  Teammate Travis Campbell would tie things up at two-all one minute and 24 seconds after that.

The third period saw Dresden regain the lead on a Macks Holmes score, but the Admirals' Cory Burns would tie it up again at 16:32 in the third.  The Amherstburg win was sealed at 19:20 when Jordan Luciw scored the insurance goal.

Amherstburg outshot Dresden 40 to 23.  They take on Lakeshore Saturday night at the Atlas Tube Centre.  Dresden will host Wallaceburg on Friday.

The Blenheim Blades got a strong start and maintained it Sunday in a 3-2 victory over the Mooretown Flags at Blenheim Memorial Arena

The Blades got two goals in the first period off the sticks of Dustin Maines and Keir Cumming.  Ryan Lyle would put Mooretown on the board at 7:58 in the first, closing out the scoring in that period.

The two teams would exchange goals in the second period to round out the total scoring in the contest.  Blenheim's Zach Horvath scored the game winner at 2:26 into the second.  Mooretown would counter later in that period with a goal from Joe DeSana.

Kyle Smith and Nick Delyzer each had two assists for Blenheim.  The Blades travel to Petrolia Thursday night.
