The LaSalle Vipers needed overtime to get by the Strathroy Rockets 4-3 in game one of their opening round GOJHL Western Conference playoff series.
After a back and forth game, Graham Pickard scored the game winner 12:53 into the extra frame.
Tyler Russell led the Vipers with a goal and two assists, while teammate Nick Gauvin had three helpers.
Game two goes Saturday night in Strathroy.
