The Windsor Stars are back on the road in League1 Ontario play taking on Durham United for 12:30pm.

“Losing really shows you the character of a team,” says Steve Vagnini, the Stars head coach feeling his team is ready to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season last weekend to the Vaughan Azzurri. “I’ll tell ya, they were one upset bunch. To see that shows they do have character.”

Vagnini hopes the loss proves to be a blessing in disguise after a six game undefeated run in league play.

“Not that we needed it, but a loss puts your goals back in perspective and it knocks you off that high horse,” says Vagnini. “It got us refocused and hungrier.”

Stars keeper and captain Anthony Santilli will be back in the lineup after missing time last weekend with a prior committment while the team is still without injured defenders Matthew Nedwicki and Sleiman Habib.

The Stars sit in third place in the League1 Ontario standings behind Vaughan Azzurri in second and Toronto FC Academy in first.
