The Windsor Express wants to see all their fans along Ouellette Ave. in Windsor this afternoon.

A special championship parade will start at 2pm at the corner of Erie St. and Ouellette. It will end at the Train Engine #5588 in Dieppe Park on the riverfront.

Team owner Dartis Willis says it’s a fitting place. “Once we reach the foot of the water, there’s a rally scheduled right there at the foot of the train where everything started.” Willis used the engine as a backdrop almost two years ago when he announced the team was coming to Windsor.

The Express beat the Charlottetown Island Storm 121-106 in game seven of the National Basketball League Championship series on April 17.
