Lancers Start Championship With A Win

The Windsor Lancers men’s hockey team took a 4-2 victory over the Acadia Athletics in their first game of the CIS Championship.

In the game on Thursday, the Lancers and Acadia were neck and neck for the first 40 minutes, with both teams scoring once in the first period and once in the second. The Lancers piled it on in the third scoring one goal in just over a minute, and then sealing the win with one final goal.

Richard Cameron, Drew Palmer, Kenny Bradford, and Mike Christou all scored once for the Lancers. Bradford was named player of the game.

The Lancers now face the Saskatchewan Huskies on Saturday at 7pm.
