People using the bus system in Leamington will now have a place to relax while waiting for their ride.
The Municipality is having a total of 30 new benches installed at LT-GO transit stops across Leamington. It's part of a partnership between the community and Creative Outdoor, which is supplying and installing the benches.
"The accessible, all-weather benches are suitable for various types of weather and offer a comfortable and attractive seating option that enhances the overall experience of using public transportation," read a media release from the Municipality.
The benches are being supplied to Leamington at no cost to residents, and there is space on the benches for advertising. Over the term of the contract between the Municipality and Creative Outdoor, Leamington will receive a share of the revenue generated by the ads.
