Visitors to this year's Taste of Tecumseh Festival can enjoy a beer or a glass of wine along with the event's festivities.
Tecumseh Town Council approved a recommendation that the Optimist Club of St. Clair Beach be authorized to sell and serve alcohol.
Councillors also granted the event relief from the town's noise bylaw so it could host musical entertainment until 1 a.m.
Taste of Tecumseh is planned for June 16 and 17 in Lakewood Park.
The Optimist Club of St. Clair Beach has hosted the Taste of Tecumseh Festival since 2015 and funds raised support local initiatives.
