Ontario Provincial Police have arrested a 39-year-old man following a raid in Essex Tuesday.
OPP officers, along with the Essex County Community Street Crime Unit, Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, and K-9 officers, raided a home on the Third Concession Road in Essex.
During the raid, officers seized a crossbow, a firearm, and an unspecified quantity of what is believed to be cocaine, according to Constable Steven Duguay.
An Essex man has been charged with eight counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition in violation of a court order, three counts of careless storage of a firearm and ammunition, and one count of cocaine possession.
The man is also charged with one count each of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, possession of a prohibited device, and possession of a stolen firearm.
The charges have not been proven in court. The suspect was held pending a bail hearing in Windsor.
