Reward offered for tips that could lead to arrest of Malique Calloo

Windsor police are offering a reward for any information that could lead to the arrest of a man accused of first-degree murder.

Malique Calloo, 26, is wanted for the murder of 24-year-old Daniel Squalls, who was shot and killed on Hanna Street in Windsor on November 28, 2022. In early December, investigators arrested 25-year-old Hussein Al-Hayawi, who is also charged with first-degree murder.

The Windsor Police Services Board and Crime Stoppers are now offering a $6,000 reward for tips on Calloo's whereabouts. Police previously said they have received a number of tips regarding his possible whereabouts in a number of Ontario cities including in Chatham, Sarnia, London, Hamilton, the Niagara region, or the Greater Toronto Area.

Police would like to pinpoint his location so he can be taken into police custody to provide some justice and closure for Squalls' family.

Calloo is a Black man with short black hair and brown eyes. He is 6’3″ tall and weighs around 245 lbs. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with knowledge on Calloo's whereabouts is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 519-250-6700, extension: 4830. They can also contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.catchcrooks.com.
