Canada Post deadlines for writing to Santa and sending Christmas packages

If your little ones were hoping to write a letter to Santa Claus this year, they have until Friday to get it in the mail.

The address is North Pole, HO HO HO, Canada.

If you want a response from Santa, the letter carrier said writers would need to include a return address.

Canada Post has released its deadlines for letters to Santa and mailing letters and packages. Many of those deadlines are fast approaching.

The deadline to send a package locally by regular post is December 20, December 16 regionally, and this Friday elsewhere in Canada.

Some international deadlines for the regular post have already passed, but senders can send their packages by Priority or Xpresspost International.

A package destined for the U.S. has to be in the regular mail by December 12, December 13 by Expedited Mail, December 15 by Xpresspost, and by Priority no later than December 21.

Deadlines for destinations elsewhere in the world vary. They are posted on Canada Post's website. The deadline is December 9 for the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.
