Driver alleged to be involved in fatal hit and run turns himself in

The driver believed to be responsible for a fatal hit-and-run accident over the weekend has turned himself in.

On Friday night, a 33-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed at the intersection of Elsmere Avenue and Ellis Street East.  The vehicle involved did not stay on the scene.

Ahmed Mousa, 22, from Windsor, turned himself in to the Windsor Police on Tuesday. He has been charged with failure to stop after an accident resulting in death. The charge has not been proven in court.

The vehicle involved, a black 2008 Dodge Caravan, was seized as evidence.
