Work underway at two Windsor parks

Windsor residents will soon see improvements at two popular parks.

The City of Windsor began work last week on upgrades to Ojibway Park and Matchette Park.

Crews began working on the wooden pedestrian bridge at Ojibway Park, which will be replaced by a new culvert-style model of bridge. The trail that goes over the bridge and the area leading up to it will be closed until at least mid-December.

A composite boardwalk has already been installed over the pond along the accessible Boardwalk Path, and that is now available for use.

At Wigle Park, crews are working on a new 16-stall parking lot off Mercer Street.

Complete information about the current work at all Windsor parks can be found on the City of Windsor's official website.
