Police issue reward in missing person case

The Windsor Police Service has issued a $20,000 reward to help find a missing Windsor woman who hasn't been seen since November 2021.

Krystine Scott, 30, was first reported missing in February of 2022. Though she is known to live a transient lifestyle, family members reported her missing after they hadn't heard from her for several months.

"It's been out of character not to reach out to the family, especially during those special times, Christmas, birthdays so that is the concern at this point," said Staff Sergeant Ted Novak.

Staff Sergeant Novak indicated they are hoping the incentive will encourage individuals to come forward. Anyone who comes forward with information leading to the location of Scott could receive the reward.

"Right now it's an open investigation. We're looking for her. We don't have any indication that there is foul play at this point but we just don't know where she is," said Novak.

Scott is described as a white woman who is 5’ tall and weighs approximately 90 lbs. She has long blonde hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of a butterfly on her upper back. The style and colour of her hair may have changed since she was last seen in person.

"We've exhausted leads, we've searched buildings, we've had open ground searches, we've had follow-up interviews, multiple interviews of person who have come involved in this case, and still no definitive information," said Novak.

A dedicated tip line has been set up to take calls in this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Windsor Police Service at 519-255-6700, ext. 4305. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.catchcrooks.com.
