Advanced voting in Lakeshore

Even though election day is about a month away, advanced voting kicks off Wednesday in Lakeshore.

Residents of Lakeshore can vote in person at the Comber Community Centre between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.

This is the first in-person election held in Lakeshore in over ten years.

“We're excited to host Lakeshore’s first in-person election voting in more than ten years,” said Kristen Newman, Lakeshore’s Clerk and Corporate Leader for Strategic and Legal Affairs. “We have a team of talented and dedicated election officials who are ready to welcome voters from across the Municipality.”

Voters can expect to get their voter information cards in the mail sometime this week. These are not required to vote but could make the process quicker and easier.

The next advance voting event will take place on Saturday, October 8, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre.

Election Day is October 24. To find an election day poll or find out who is running for Lakeshore municipal council, click here.
