Windsor Fire and Rescue Services, October 2021.

Windsor Fire and Rescue has confirmed several people were displaced by a massive house fire this week.

Crews were called to the home on Walker Road between Ontario Street and Richmond Street at around 4 a.m. Wednesday. When firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed with flames with heavy smoke.

The effort to fight the blaze resulted in that section of Walker Road being closed for over 11 hours.

No one was hurt in the fire, but Windsor Fire said several people were displaced.

On Friday, fire officials confirmed that the cause was undetermined due to the severe damage to the home. The damage estimate was over $500,000.
