UPDATE: OFM called to help Grandview fire investigation

Investigators from Windsor Fire and Rescue Services and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall continue to search for the cause of a fire in a townhouse complex over the weekend.

Firefighters were called to the complex on Grandview Street, just east of Grand Boulevard, around 7:50 a.m. on Saturday.

When they arrived, Fire Prevention Officer Mike Coste said the windows were blowing out at one unit, but the blaze also damaged units on either side.

In all, three units in the six-unit row of homes sustained severe damage, and Coste figures the damage estimate could be as high as $700,000.

No one was hurt, but six people are out of their homes.
