The Windsor Police Service is looking to identify two suspects who allegedly used counterfeit money at a local business.
On Tuesday, police were called to a business on Tecumseh Road East near Lauzon Parkway.
It was reported that around 7 p.m. two people entered the business and made three separate transactions using a counterfeit $50 bill each time.
Police believe the suspects left in a newer model Volkswagon Passat or Jetta.
The male suspect is described as a Black man, around 20-25 years old, 6' tall, with long dreaded hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, a black baseball hat, and black shoes.
The female suspect is described as a white or of Middle Eastern decent, around 20-25 years old, 5'5" tall, with long black hair in two french braids. She was wearing a spandex workout shirt and shorts, black socks, black shoes, earrings, and a necklace.
Police are looking for help in identifying the suspects.
Investigators encourage businesses to stay vigilant in familiarizing themselves with the intricacies of currency, especially U.S bills. Any business that may have experienced similar incidents is encouraged to make a report to the police.
