Police looking for suspect in stabbing

Windsor police investigators are trying to identify multiple suspects in an assault.

Around 2 a.m. Thursday police were called to an apartment on Riverside Drive in the area of Lauzon Road and Frank Avenue.

It was reported that a woman knocked on the victim's door. When the door was opened a man rushed into the apartment spraying an unknown noxious substance at the victim. The victim was then stabbed several times.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police do not believe the victim and suspects were known to each other.

Investigators do not know if the suspect arrived in the area by vehicle or by foot. They are asking anyone in the area with surveillance cameras to check their footage between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. for possible evidence.
