A 22-year-old man has been arrested following a raid by Ontario Provincial Police in Leamington.
Members of the Essex County OPP, the Community Street Crimes Unit, and the Emergency Response Team executed a warrant Monday on a property on Sturgeon Meadows Avenue. During the operation, investigators seized cocaine, methamphetamine, firearms, assorted knives, prescription medication, and about $70,000 in cash.
The Leamington resident has been charged with possession of CDSA, cocaine, and methamphetamine with intent to sell; possession of a firearm with a prohibition order, unauthorized possession of a weapon, careless storage of a weapon, and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The suspect was held pending a show-cause hearing set for Tuesday.
The charges have not been proven in court.
