Eastwood Public School holds closing ceremonies
Past and present students of Eastwood Public School gathered at the school Wednesday afternoon to commemorate its closure.
After 46 years, the Forest Glade school will ring its last bell next week.
Students and teachers will move to Eastview Horizon Public School in the fall.
“It’s wonderful that the school has had such an impact on so many families and so many kids, and it’s nice to see the fruits of our labour. But also kind of sad to know that the school that had such an impact is closing its doors,” said Principal Nick Arundine.
The new school, being constructed on the current site of Parkview Public School, will combine both schools’ students.
