Masking remains on Transit Windsor buses

Transit Windsor is the latest to announce they won't be giving up its masking requirement when other mandates expire on Saturday.

The Ontario Ministry of Health confirmed on Wednesday it would allow most of the remaining mandates to elapse, but many organizations across the province have said they're not ready to give up face masks just yet.

Earlier this week, Windsor Regional Hospital, Erie Shores Healthcare, and Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare announced all staff, visitors, and patients would need to continue to wear them. They said the precaution against COVID-19 would protect their many elderly and immunocompromised patients.

VIA Rail also plans to continue masking. It is under federal jurisdiction and is not impacted by the decision to allow provincial masking mandates to expire.
