Windsor police investigate after child hit by vehicle

Windsor police are looking into a weekend collision that sent a child to hospital.

Police were called shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday to the area of Riverside Drive East and Langlois Avenue.

Few details have been released, but police said a child sustained serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle. The child was taken to hospital with no word on their condition.

There has also been no information on whether charges will be filed in this incident.

The westbound lanes of Riverside Drive East between Parent Avenue and Pierre Avenue were closed for several hours Sunday night while the incident was being investigated. It has since reopened.
