Reward renewed for unsolved murders

The Windsor Police Service Board renewed rewards for five historical unsolved murders.

Investigators continue to look for any information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the deaths of Kirk Knight (1980), Marlene and Jason Sweet (1982), Debilleanne Williamson and Xavier Rucker (2003), Gerardine Butterfield (2019), and Jerome Allen (2018).

"We are encouraging people to do the right thing. if they know anything we need their help. We make no secret about that, we are looking for the public's help on some of these cases especially," said Acting Deputy Chief Jason Crowley.

Each case continues to have investigators assigned to them, and continue to be investigated.

"Theses are cases that our investigators have run their course at this point with where we are at with either witnesses or information and we're hoping that a little bit more of a reward may spur a little bit more information, or something new or someone remembers something," said Crowley.

There is a $20,000 reward available in each of the murder cases listed above.
