The Canada Border Services Agency is resuming service at most small vessel reporting sites as of Friday, just as many Canadians are preparing for the first long weekend of the summer season.
Following the shutdown in 2020 because of COVID-19, the border agency is gradually phasing in services. In Ontario, service will resume at 255 sites, including 39 marinas in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
It remains suspended at just one local marina, the West Dock on Pelee Island, until further notice.
The border agency recommends travellers submit their mandatory information in the ArriveCAN app before arrival, and once they arrive, report to border officials immediately.
If your port of entry is not listed on the app, select any alternative port of entry to complete the submission. Officials are still updating the app.

The sites where service has resumed in Amherstburg are the Amherstburg Yacht Club, Boblo Island, Cooper's Marina, and Ranta K Walter Memorial Park and Marina.
In Belle River, Belle River Municipal Marina and Rochester Place Resort Inc. have resumed services.
Colchester Harbour Marina in Colchester has service again.
Service at Kingsville's Cedar Island Yacht Club, Erie View Marina, and Melton Bros Marina has resumed.
In LaSalle, service has resumed at Acali Place Marina, BASF Dock, Beatties Sunset Marina, Holiday Harbour Marina, Island View Marine Store and Marina, Park Haven Marina, Riverfront Harbour Marina, St.Clair Marina, and Westport Marina.
Thames River Yacht Club in Lakeshore has resumed service. In St. Joachim, Deerbrook Marina has service.
Border services are offered again at two Leamington marinas, Leamington Municipal Marina, Sturgeon Cove Yacht Club and Towle Harbour.
Travellers have service again at Puce River Harbour and the Southpoint Sailing Club in Tecumseh.
And in Windsor, four marinas have resumed service. Those are Beachgrove Golf and Country Club, LaSalle Mariner's Yacht Club, Riverside Marina, and the Windsor Yacht Club.
Eight marinas in Chatham-Kent have also resumed service, Canada Club Basset Island on Walpole Island, the Chatham City Dock, Erieau Marina, Mitchell's Bay, Wallaceburg Municipal Marina, and in Tilbury, Cove Marina, Light House Cove Marina, and Luken Marina.
