Windsor-built Pacifica still tops with families

A Windsor-built minivan is still the preferred vehicle of choice for families, according to a magazine survey.

The Chrysler Pacifica, built at the Stellantis Windsor Assembly Plant, was named the Best Family Car of 2022 by Parents magazine, along with being the Best Luxury Minivan. This is the third year in a row the Pacifica has received the honour.

The 2022 Pacifica models include a variety of safety and entertainment features, such as an interior camera that allows parents to check on kids in the rear seats, an entertainment system equipped with games and features to keep kids occupied on longer trips, available all-wheel-drive (AWD) to safely transport kids in bad weather, and the Stow-n-Go storage and vacuum features.

The magazine employed experts who thoroughly tested over 50 vehicles from a field that aced the auto industry’s safety tests. Twenty-five of the winning models passed test-drive standards and car seat compatibility and were designated safe and efficient for families, and included in Parents' listing.

The listing of the best family vehicles can be found on the Parents magazine website.
