Dragnet continues for Windsor shooting suspect

Windsor police are still looking for a man suspected in a shooting last month outside an east-end bowling alley.

Fernando Anthony Ratcliffe is still being sought as the outstanding suspect in the April 9 shooting outside Super Bowl Lanes on Tecumseh Road East. The 22-year-old has no fixed address, and his whereabouts are unknown.

Police say he is wanted on multiple charges, including five counts of attempted murder. He is also wanted for reckless use of a firearm, and occupying a vehicle with a firearm.

The incident reportedly began as a fight inside the bowling alley earlier that evening. The trouble started up again later in the parking lot. Five people were shot, but all were treated in hospital and released. One of the victims was a bystander who happened to be leaving the bowling alley.

Ratcliffe is described as a Hispanic man, around 5’2 to 5’5″, weighing 150 to 170 pounds. He has “Ratcliffe” tattooed on his right forearm. He was last seen wearing a yellow-brown coat with black sleeves, a grey hooded sweater underneath, a black facemask, and a blue and white Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap.

Police say Ratcliffe is armed and dangerous. Do not approach him yourself if you recognize him, but call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information on this investigation is asked to call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
