COVAX bus visits Leamington next week

The Ontario Ministry of Health's COVAX bus is coming to Leamington.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and the Ministry will present another opportunity for residents in the south Essex County to get up to date on their COVID-19 shots.

First, second, and booster shots are available. Officials will also have Pfizer pediatric doses.

The mobile vaccination clinic will be in the parking lot at the health unit's Leamington office at 33 Princess Street. On Monday, it is open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Walk-ins are welcome, but those who go can also book an appointment through the provincial booking system online or by calling 1-833-943-3900 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The health unit's booking system is not accepting appointments for this clinic.

Those who go are asked to bring their health card, but if they don't have one, another piece of government-issued identification is acceptable.
