Police looking for suspects in home invasion

The Windsor Police Service is looking for two suspects after multiple incidents involving weapons were reported late Thursday.

Complainants reported to police two unknown suspects forced themselves inside a home on Howard Avenue near Shepherd Street just before midnight. The residents escaped and there were no injuries reported.

Shortly afterwards, officers were called to the area of Tecumseh Road East for another weapons call. It was reported two armed men got out of a black Mercedes Benz with the license plate CTCC 975. The men approached a taxi cab and pointed their firearms at the driver and its passengers. Police say the passengers were the residents of the home invasion.

The suspects fled in the Mercedes-Benz eastbound on Tecumseh Road East.

A second suspect vehicle described as a 2016-2019 model silver Hyundai Sonata with unknown license plates has also been linked to the incident.

The first suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a black balaclava, black jacket, and navy track pants with a white stripe along the side.

The second suspect is described as a Black male, wearing a balaclava, black jacket, and grey pants.

Police are asking anyone in the area of the 1500 block of Howard Avenue and in the area of the 2000 block of Tecumseh Road East with video surveillance to check their footage for any possible evidence related to these incidents.

If either of the vehicles or suspects are seen, do not approach the suspects as they are considered armed and dangerous.
